Caroline Nokes on New Role in Cabinet Office

Caroline has been made Parliamentary Secretary to the Cabinet Office

Fresh from her election success in Romsey and Southampton North, Caroline Nokes MP has been offered a new role in Government which sees her transferring from the Department for Work and Pensions to the Cabinet Office, alongside her former DWP Secretary of State, Damian Green who becomes First Secretary of State under Prime Minister Theresa May’s new Government.

Caroline’s new role, Parliamentary Secretary to the Cabinet Office, will see her undertaking a range of tasks in the Cabinet Office, the Department which supports the Prime Minister and Cabinet and is responsible for the management of the Civil Service.

Caroline said:

“I am honoured and delighted to have been asked to serve as part of the Cabinet Office Ministerial Team working with Damian Green as First Secretary of State.

During my time with the DWP as Minister for Welfare Delivery I gained invaluable experience and I will continue to use that knowledge to help constituents with their often very complex cases.

I look forward to facing the challenges of my new role.”

Caroline was returned as the Member of Parliament for Romsey and Southampton North on the 8th June with an increased majority.
