Caroline Questions the Chancellor on Southampton Children’s A&E Bid

Caroline Nokes MP asked a question of the Chancellor relating to the

Caroline Nokes, Member of Parliament for Romsey and Southampton North, continued the campaign of Hampshire’s MPs to get funding for a new, dedicated children’s emergency department in Southampton.

There are already ten such facilities in the north of England and Caroline asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to consider the bid put forward by local clinicians for a specialist A&E to be brought to Southampton.

The Chancellor responded saying he was ‘looking closely’ and what he called a ‘strong case’ for the facility and that an announcement would be made due course.
