October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and yesterday in Parliament I asked the Leader of the House for a debate on this important subject.
I have been contacted by a number of constituents who have rightly pointed out that screening, diagnosis, treatment and reconstruction have all been delayed during the pandemic. But it remains essential that if you are worried by any symptoms you should get it checked out by your GP.
Every year in Parliament we hold a “Wear it Pink” event to mark Breast Cancer Awareness. We cannot don the cowboy hats and feather boas this year, but I did my bit with a very bright outfit yesterday.
