To mark 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence I met Surviving Economic Abuse, to hear about the work they have been doing over the last year. Their Survivor Forum, frontline partnerships and direct work reached over 58,000 people in 2022-3. Their work with Women's Aid secured the Flee Fun which was announced by the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt earlier this year. That sits alongside all the work they have done with banks to help victims of economic abuse.
Hearing the testimonies of survivors is so impactful and I was pleased to be able to highlight their work in the Women and Equalities Select Committee.
