Last week I was pleased to be part of a Menopause-roundtable at Gower College, Swansea, hosted by the Minister for Social Mobility, Youth and Progression, and Helen Tomlinson, the Government’s Menopause Employment Champion.
There were some fascinating insights into how we can go further with our support for those experiencing the menopause in the workplace, and prioritise women’s health within business support in organisations.
Supporting women in the workplace and the return investment that prioritising women’s health within businesses’ people support, particularly in relation to the menopause, allows women to remain and thrive in work throughout their career.
There was some really useful evidence from Gower College about the business case for seeking to retain women going through the menopause in employment, demonstrating it is not just the right thing to do, it is the financially sensible thing to do.
