Yesterday in Parliament I raised the issue of vaccine prioritisation with Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health. It is absolutely right that the prioritisation of vaccines should be done on the basis of clinical need, but we also have to recognise the important role teachers and childcare professionals play in enabling parents go out to work. I have been approached by a large number of constituents asking whether teachers will be prioritised in order to keep schools open so was pleased to be able to direct their question direct to the Secretary of State.
