Today in Parliament I asked the Chief Secretary to the Treasury about support for businesses in Tier 1 that still cannot trade normally. I am very conscious that there are no restrictions in this area, but still the events industry and the travel industry have no markets in which they can trade. The IMF agrees that now is not the time to balance the books and my argument to the Treasury is that they would be viable businesses were it not for covid.
