As we build up to Menopause Awareness Month in October it has been great to be out meeting organisations and employers committed to becoming more menopause friendly.
Salisbury Racecourse has established a monthly Menopause Walk and Talk group and I recently very much enjoyed a morning of definitely more talk than walk. This is a model the British Horseracing Authority could spread to numerous racecourses up and down the country. It gives an opportunity to get out in the fresh air, clear the head (well worth it if suffering from brain fog) and return to the office refreshed.
We had a very interesting chat ranging from minor adjustments to make menopausal life easier to HRT, and how what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for us all. Followed by some inspiration on the nutrition front from Salisbury based nutritionist Amber Cotton.
