This week is Parliament Week, and schools and other groups of young people are always encouraged to use it as an opportunity to inform children about our democracy and how Parliament works.
Over the last 13 years I have really seen Parliament raise its game in terms of engagement with young people and I love it when schools come to the beautiful new Education Centre and have the opportunity to have a look round Parliament in person. But Parliament Week is the next best thing and this year to mark it I have been to the Stockbridge Cubs, the Nursling and Rownhams Brownies, Romsey Girl Guides and I still have a number of visits including a primary school in Southampton today and the North Baddesley Brownies later on this evening.
The young people are always great at asking incisive and interesting question and I love getting the chance to meet them.
