Last weekend’s Food Fare in the Town centre was absolutely wonderful and my thanks go to all those involved in the organisation and the fantastic local traders, many of whom sold out.
It was great during recess to get the time to visit Snows Peugeot in Romsey to hear at first hand of the massive difference the Motability Scheme makes to some of my disabled constituents. Sue Hudson, a local resident, proudly showed me her SUV which has made her much more independent.
Earlier in the summer recess I organised an event alongside DEFRA and the Rural Payments Agency for farmers in the constituency to ask any questions they had about ELMS, farming in protected landscapes, food production etc
The thank you event for supporters of Mountbatten Hampshire, held at Broadlands last weekend, was absolutely lovely. The sunflowers were everywhere, a cheerful reminder of the great work the hospice does. Even the rain held off, and although the sun might not have shone, it was dry.
It was lovely to be at the Audley Retirement Village at Stanbridge Earls last week to meet residents and talk to them about the issues that are currently worrying them.
Recess has been a great opportunity to catch up with a wide range of local organisations and I was pleased to go to Kimbridge Barn with Business South for their Lady Leaders lunch at the start of August.
This has been a varied and interesting week, with a meeting for farmers alongside the Rural Payments Agency, a trip to the Audley Village at Stanbridge Earls, a meeting with residents in Nether Wallop and a quick drop in to Ace Liftaway at Yokesford.
The Rt Hon Caroline Nokes MP met with New Forest National Park Authority staff and partners in the north of the New Forest to discuss issues facing the area and initiatives being delivered around nature, climate, people and place.
